According to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, NY Giants running back Saquon Barkley (ankle sprain) will not return this week vs the Minnesota Vikings.
Head coach Pat Shurmur wouldn’t rule out Barkley for this week’s game but Raanan doesn’t believe it to be true.
The Giants running back was originally supposed to miss 4-8 weeks.
But it seems like it will be a much shorter timetable.
Raanan thinks the team is saving Barkley for their Week 6 matchup vs the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football.
Barkley was seen running and cutting at Wednesday’s practice which is a clear indicator of just how quickly his body has healed.
