According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Philadelphia Eagles have released linebacker Zach Brown.
Schefter adds that “multiple teams” are expected to be interested in signing him.
And considering the need for a productive linebacker, one would assume that the NY Giants could be one of those teams.
Brown was signed by the Eagles this past offseason after an incredibly productive 2018 campaign with the Washington Redskins.
As he posted a Pro Football Focus grade of 89.2 which was good for third among linebackers.
With Ryan Connelly (ACL) out for the season and Alec Ogletree having his share of injury problems and poor on-field production, Brown’s presence would certainly be welcomed as a rental player.
