Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. continued his offseason of goodwill by reporting to Giants training camp on time with the rest of his teammates Wednesday, despite the fact that he is entering the final year of his rookie contract.
It is no secret that Beckham is seeking a long-term extension that would pay him in excess of $100 million, making him the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL, but to this point negotiations have yet to yield a new deal.
While Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones sat out mandatory minicamp earlier this spring and vowed to holdout from training camp, despite the fact that he has three years remaining on his deal, Beckham attended a majority of voluntary OTA practices, was a participant in the voluntary offseason program, and was a limited participant in the mandatory minicamp, all while rehabbing a fractured ankle suffered in Week 5 last season.
