NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith held a Zoom call with NFL reporters on Tuesday afternoon to talk about COVID-19 and how things have gone this season for the players.
Smith stressed that the fact that the players have been following the protocols laid out by the NFL and the NFLPA, it’s really helped their positivity rate stay so low this season.
Honestly, I never thought the NFL would be able to finish this season and right now we’re heading into week 17. It’s remarkable the job that they’ve done.
One reporter asked Smith if a “bubble” was needed for the upcoming playoffs and Smith said no because their positivity rate is so low.
