EAST RUTHERFORD -- Odell Beckham Jr. and Eli Manning likely won't play for the Giants.
Antonio Brown and Ben Roethlisberger won't play for the Steelers.
But football is football.
Beckham and Manning are not expected to play when the Giants open their 2017 preseason schedule on Friday night against the Steelers at MetLife Stadium, leaving the Giants without their best wide receiver and starting quarterback. But it's just the preseason.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Steelers have already announced Brown, their star wide receiver, and Roethlisberger, their future Hall of Fame quarterback, will not play.
