Jennings first of what could be many interesting names to hit the open market.
NFL teams have to trim their rosters from 90 players to 75 by Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET. For many teams that process began Sunday, and the biggest name that jumped as a player who might draw interest from the New York Giants is two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Tim Jennings.
The Chicago Bears cut the 31-year-old Jennings on Sunday. A Pro Bowler in 2012 and 2013, Jennings has been a full-time starter in Chicago for the past five seasons.
