The NFL is always seeking out new revenue streams and business opportunities. With the current CBA winding down the end of next year, both management and labor are getting their platforms ready for battle.
The latest, well, not really, from the owners is the proposal to extend the regular season to 18 games from 16. The players are vehemently against that idea, citing injury concerns and pointing to how difficult it is for them to play the already grueling 16 game schedule.
The owners are countering with a compromise, putting a limit of 16 games on players and adding $15 million to each team’s salary cap to offset things.
