NFL free agency 2016: David Bruton to Redskins, updating Giants tackle options

Cross another free safety option off the list for the New York Giants as David Bruton, formerly of the Denver Broncos, has signed with the Washington Redskins. The deal is reportedly for three years.

Bruton, a 29-year-old seven-year veteran, has spent his entire career in Denver and has made only eight starts. He played well in 2015 for the Broncos, however, and will now apparently get a chance to start in Washington.

Where are the Giants in the search for a safety? Reggie Nelson of the Cincinnati Bengals and Rashad Johnson of the Arizona Cardinals would be the most logical options on short-term deals.
