What Brian Williams remembers about that day, 26 years ago, is all of it, but mostly, where he was and who he was with when he heard the news: With 18th overall pick, in the first round of the 1989 NFL Draft, he was selected by the Giants.
“Probably my biggest, fondest memory from draft night is being with my family in our basement back home in Pittsburgh,’’ Williams told The Post. “Having my father there, my mother there, my brothers and sisters. It was just almost like the ‘Twilight Zone’ when the commissioner stood up there and announced my name and I was going to New York.
