Second place in the NFC East was good enough to get the Giants to the playoffs last year.
This season? Lindy's Sports says no. The sports periodical group's 2017 NFL preview magazine has hit newsstands, and it has the Giants finishing second behind the Cowboys in the division again this fall, but failing to grab a wild card berth again.
"Brandon Marshall should make the passing game even better," according to the preview, "but they have to somehow find a running game."
Apparently Lindy's isn't betting on it. The preview predicts the Buccaneers and Seahawks will win the NFC wild card berths (the Giants play both teams this season), with Dallas winning the NFC East, the Packers winning the NFC North, the reigning conference champion Falcons winning the NFC South and the Cardinals, who the Giants also play this year, bouncing back to win the NFC West.
