The editors of “The Best American Sports Writing” collection have recognized Daily News writer Kevin Armstrong with a notable selection in its 2015 anthology for his profile of Giants wideout Odell Beckham Jr.
Armstrong traced the rise of Beckham Jr. from his family's roots in Texas and Louisiana through his college years at LSU and to life as a rookie in New York. It included behind-the-scenes reporting on reactions to Beckham Jr.'s three-fingered catch against the Cowboys en route to his receiving NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors from the NFL.
