The setbacks for the New York Giants receiver room continue.
On Sunday, Giants head coach Pat Shurmur announced that wide receiver Golden Tate is “in the concussion protocol,” per Dan Benton of Giants Wire.
Tate sustained the injury during the Giants’ second preseason game against the Chicago Bears on Friday. However, it’s unclear when exactly during the game it occurred. It’s also unclear how long the recovery process will be for the veteran receiver who just signed a four-year, $37.5 million deal with Big Blue this past offseason.
Tate is suspended for the first four games of the regular season after testing positive for PEDs.
