Yesterday I speculated about who the New York Giants would bring in to fill the glaring void at runningback in the wake of Saquon Barkley’s ankle injury – all of the names I brought up were established NFL players with a solid amount of starting runningback experience. Big Blue appears to be going in another direction, as they brought three players in for a workout on Tuesday who all have remarkable similarities (which don’t include being a feature back).
For starters, all three of the ‘backs brought in are in between the age of 28-30. Every one of the trio was also undrafted, and has spent most of their time in the league as a third string runningback/special teams type of player.
