Wide receiver Da’Mari Scott had a lot of ground to cover if he wanted a shot at the New York Giants 53-man roster. He had to surpass guys such as Brittan Golden, Russell Shepard, T.J. Jones, and rookie Darius Slayton on the depth chart in order to get some sort of recognition.
Scott realized his chances were slim, and although that may not be the entire reason he requested a release from Big Blue, it definitely could’ve played a role. Scott wished to pursue opportunities elsewhere. On Wednesday, he got his wish, as the Giants waived the young wideout.
