According to Art Stapleton of The Record, the New York Giants have waived wide receiver Bennie Fowler.
With Sterling Shepard now having returned from a concussion that forced him to miss six games this season, the Giants don’t necessarily need Fowler for depth.
Fowler played in eight games for the Giants this season, hauling in 23 passes for 193 yards.
Fellow wideout Golden Tate is in concussion protocol and Stapleton believes the team could look to promote Alex Bachman from the practice squad as a result.
Bachman has the ability to return punts and kicks.
