New York Giants training camp: Takeaways as Giants, Lions get physical

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The New York Giants completed their first day of joint practices with the Detroit Lions in training camp on Monday at Quest Diagnostics Training Center. The Detroit Lions arrived in New Jersey late last night after a six-hour delay during their travels. Here are some of the takeaways.

Injuries

There were no major injuries in practice for the New York Giants. John Michael Schmitz (shoulder) remained out, as did Carter Coughlin (lower body). Bryce Ford-Wheaton and D.J. Davidson (both lower-leg) returned to practice.
