The New York Giants have signed former New Orleans Saints linebacker Nate Stupar, per his agency via Twitter.
Stupar, known for his special teams play, played in just four games last season with the Saints after tearing his ACL.
Stupar had previously signed a three-year deal with the team prior to the 2016 season, a year in which he recorded 58 tackles and played in all 16 games.
The Giants decided to release veteran linebacker and special teams ace, Mark Herzlich, a few days ago, so to add a player of similar caliber to fill his shoes isn’t exactly much of a surprise.
