In the NFL one team’s roster cut is another teams treasure and that could be the case for Tim Wright and the New York Giants. The New England Patriots released Wright yesterday and the veteran tight end is an interesting option for the Giants in free agency.
If the name sounds familiar to you and you don’t know why, its because Wright was a part of the trade that sent l time Patriots guard Logan Mankins to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Wright caught 26 receptions last season, amazingly scoring 6 touchdowns for the Patriots.
While Wright was a nice piece to the Patriots offense, the Patriots decided they didn’t need him.
