The New York Giants brought in Shane Vereen this offseason with the intention of adding another element to their passing game. Vereen has been involved in the first two weeks of the season and is on pace to put up big numbers as a receiver out of the backfield.
Vereen had eight receptions in the week 2 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. He had 76 yards in that game. Vereen had 4 receptions for 46 yards against the Cowboys in week one. Those yards add up and have helped the Giants stay on the field on some critical third downs.
