In life, just as in the NFL, everyone remains human, even if the masses try to portray someone as super-human. When the New York Giants drafted Penn State running back Saquon Barkley at No. 2 overall, it was only natural for him to be viewed as the franchise savior.
After all, Big Blue general manager Dave Gettleman even said Barkley was “touched by the hand of God”. That’s some heavy stuff.
To his credit, Barkley remains a stand-up guy, ready and willing to represent the franchise in an honorable way. That is certainly commendable.
