Contract negotiations between the New York Giants and their All-Pro safety Landon Collins appear stagnant.
Per a report from Ralph Vacchiano of SNY, Collins could hold himself out of spring and summer activities and workouts if he’s eventually franchise tagged. His four-year rookie deal expires this offseason, and the Giants have until March 5 to either implement the franchise or transition tag.
Collins also has the opportunity to not sign the tag.
“There is a chance that if Collins is given the tag, he won’t sign it, possibly even until the start of the regular season,” Vacchiano writes.
