Just last week, the San Francisco 49ers released their troubled outside linebacker, Aldon Smith, after he was arrested for DUI, vandalism and hit-and-run charges. The incident marked Smith’s fifth arrest in three years.
Smith is clearly an incredibly troubled soul who needs help. Playing in the NFL should be the last thing on his mind. However, it appears it didn’t take long before teams started to consider signing the uber-talented pass rusher. The New York Giants, who typically stay away from guys with questionable character and/or behavioral issues, are rumored to have a great deal of interest in bringing Smith to New York City.
