According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the New York Giants are looking for a “leader who will run a better overall program.”
He adds that they could choose a head coach who is an offensive-oriented play-caller but it seems like they would rather find a coach who is more well-rounded and who has experience running an entire team.
This comes after they hired Ben McAdoo and Pat Shurmur, two coaches known for their play-calling and not so much their overall leadership.
Because of this, Garafolo believes that Baylor Bears head coach Matt Rhule “makes so much sense” for them.
