Last week, Mykkele Thompson joined wide receiver Geremy Davis as former New York Giants. Well, I suppose that Thompson could come back since he was waived/injured. What’s the point though?
After an offseason position switch, Thompson remained a longshot to make the team. Basically, he had one thing that kept him on the roster. He was/is a Jerry Reese draft pick.
The list of draft busts continues to grow. And I would not categorize Thompson as a bust necessarily. He goes into the pile of wasted draft picks. To get slapped with being a bust, you have to had been selected in the first three rounds of the NFL Draft.
