For a trio of New York Giants receivers, it’s back to square one this summer. That means Roger Lewis, Tavarres King and Darius Powe have to prove themselves all over again. King and Lewis actually made the final 53 out of preseason last season. Powe spent his season on the practice squad, but showed enough promise to get a call back.
With King nursing a sore ankle, and Lewis floundering, the door has opened for Powe. It also has helped that probable starter Sterling Shepard also injured an ankle. The result became more first-team snaps for the 2016 undrafted free agent from Cal.
