New York Giants roster moves: Geoff Schwartz, Jon Beason, Will Beatty cut -- reports

The New York Giants Wednesday cut offensive guard Geoff Schwartz, linebacker Jon Beason, and offensive tackle Will Beatty, according to tweets Wednesday from ESPN Giants reporter Dan Graziano. We discussed possible roster cuts on Tuesday, and all three players were on our list.

Cutting Schwartz, whom they signed to a four-year, $16.8 million contract in 2014, will save the Giants $2.99 million in cap space. Schwartz played only 13 games over two seasons. It is possible this means the Giants believe 2015 seventh-round pick Bobby Hart could fill that role.
