New York Giants roster bubble: C.J. Conrad

The New York Giants caught a huge break when tight end C.J. Conrad somehow slipped through the cracks of the 2019 NFL draft without being selected. Recognizing this, GM Dave Gettleman immediately targeted the Kentucky Wildcat standout, signing him as a priority undrafted free agent to the tune of a 50K signing bonus.

Conrad was no doubt distraught over not being picked, especially considering the circumstances. The former four star high school recruit enjoyed a somewhat successful career at Kentucky, compiling 80 catches for 1,015 yards and 12 touchdowns as a four year starter. Sadly, NFL combine doctors diagnosed him with a heart issue in February and he was forced to be sent home for second opinions.
