According to NJ.com’s James Kratch, defensive tackle Robert Thomas is the “frontrunner” to start alongside Damon Harrison at defensive tackle.
This may come as a surprise to many, when you consider that the team selected Dalvin Tomlinson in the second round of the draft back in April.
Now, it’s still early, as preseason games have yet to be played.
But Thomas is already taking first-team reps after not starting a single game last season with the Giants and appearing in just eight games overall.
New York also has former third round pick Jay Bromley on the roster, someone who is entering the final year of his rookie contract.
