According to Dan Duggan of The Athletic, the New York Giants have released linebacker Jake Carlock from the practice squad.
Carlock was signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent this past offseason out of Long Island University.
The Long Island native did not appear in a regular season game for the team.
This move could have something to do with linebacker Tae Davis’ status, as he was waived on Tuesday by the Giants.
If Davis goes unclaimed, he could be signed to their practice squad.
