Over the weekend, New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley made an appearance at the Patterson Houses, a housing project in the South Bronx. While there, Barkley gave out school supplies as well as backpacks to children.
“Anytime you’re blessed in a position where God blesses you to have an impact on your community and an impact on other people, you want to take advantage of that,” Saquon said, per Dean Meminger of Spectrum News. “I’m just blessed and fortunate enough to be able to give back.”
Barkley, who is entering his second year with Big Blue, was born in the Bronx.
