New York Giants QB Tommy DeVito not expected to play Thursday

Quarterback Tommy DeVito is not expected to play Thursday for the New York Giants due to a right (throwing) forearm injury, per a report from Adam Schefter. Drew Lock, the Giants’ third starting quarterback in as many games, is expected to start against the Dallas Cowboys.

Lock, signed in the offseason to back up Jones, was bypassed for DeVito last week after the Giants benched and ultimately released Jones. The Giants mustered little offense on Sunday in a 30-7 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

If DeVito can’t play and Lock starts, the backup quarterback would be journeyman Tim Boyle.
