The New York Giants have seen some setbacks to their receiving corps thus far in training camp. Sterling Shepard suffered a fractured thumb (will be evaluated on a week-to-week basis), Corey Coleman suffered a torn ACL (out of season) and Golden Tate received a four-game suspension (PEDs).
Despite these multiple issues, Eli Manning is staying optimistic as far as the state of the receiving corps.
Per Ralph Vacchiano of SNY, Manning sees the setbacks as “unfortunate” but also “a great opportunity to get Cody (Latimer) going and see what some of the other guys can do.
