The New York Giants, after succumbing to a slow start, has cut the New York Jets’ lead to just seven. In the second quarter of the game on Sunday, Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones tossed a five-yard touchdown pass to rookie wideout Darius Slayton. The two first-year players have built a strong connection on the field thus far in 2019.
Prior to the first Giants points of the day, the Jets took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. Quarterback Sam Darnold ran one into the end zone to get the scoring going. Later on, he threw a touchdown pass to the newly-acquired Jamison Crowder.
