According to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, the New York Giants have promoted defensive tackle Chris Slayton from the practice squad.
Slayton was the team’s seventh-round pick out of Syracuse.
He has yet to play in a game this season.
Raanan adds that the decision to promote Slayton was due to other teams having interest in signing him off of their practice squad.
The team will place tight end Rhett Ellison on Injured Reserve to make room for Slayton.
