One day removed from putting together the initial 53-man roster, the New York Giants have made a few more moves.
On Sunday, Big Blue placed cornerback Sam Beal on the injured reserve list. The Giants originally selected Beal out of Western Michigan University with a third-round pick in the NFL Supplemental Draft. He missed his entire rookie year after undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery. Beal additionally missed each of the preseason games this Summer due to hamstring issues.
He won’t be able to return until Week 9 of the regular season. It keeps alive the question of if Beal will ever play a down for the Giants.
