For much of the last two years, the New York Giants have employed an intelligent backup in their quarterback room. It’s now slated to remain that way in 2020, at least for the preseason.
This week, Big Blue decided to pick up Alex Tanney’s second-year option, per Paul Schwartz of the New York Post. Tanney began his tenure as the team’s backup in 2018 and has appeared in one regular-season game since.
