If you’ve witnessed the level of play the New York Giants have portrayed this year, you know they’re not making much progress. This team is now 2-9 through the first 12 weeks. They still have a chance to finish even worse than they did in the previous two seasons.
But despite what’s shown on the field, which has now succumbed to seven straight losses, head coach Pat Shurmur notes there are improvements being made. This progress just so happens to be “behind the scenes.”
“At one point I used to feel that saying your team was young was an excuse,” Shurmur said, per Ryan Dunleavy of the New York Post.
