New York Giants: Ogletree out for Redskins match

The New York Giants‘ defense already figured to look vastly different Sunday, and that was before inside linebacker Alec Ogletree was ruled out with a hamstring injury. After a whirlwind week that saw GM Dave Gettleman jettison two defensive starters to rival NFC competition, Big Blue is left with several new faces on the defensive side of the ball.

Ogletree is a vital cog in the defense, as he wears the headset and is tasked with communicating play calls to the rest of his teammates. Other than a freak fibula injury during the 2015 season, the former Georgia Bulldog has an impressive overall health record.
