New York Giants’ Nick Gates carries a high level of praise for OL coach Marc Colombo

The New York Giants entered this offseason coming off yet another year in which their offensive line proved to be unsuccessful. Having allowed a total of 43 sacks and 119 quarterback hits, the unit was a big reason for the offense’s underwhelming performance (finished 23rd in the NFL in total yards per game).

And when you have a group that’s struggled as much as Big Blue’s “hog mollies” did, changes must be made. The organization certainly kept that notion in mind this offseason, drafting three offensive linemen and hiring a new offensive line coach in Marc Colombo.
