While Golden Tate earned a four-game suspension for violating the league’s PES rules, others were actively participating in practice and refining their skills.
Tate released a statement saying the failed drug test was a result of fertility treatments he was undergoing. Several other players have used this excuse before to no avail — unable to avoid the pending suspension. This time around, it’s tough to say whether Tate will find his way around the league’s internal legal system.
Worst case scenario, he serves the four-game suspension and still participates in training camp and pre-season.
However, the bright spot on the Giants so far has been sophomore pass rusher, Lorenzo Carter.
