Kelvin Sheppard, who hasn’t played since the final game of last season and was just re-signed this week by the New York Giants, could play a significant role on Sunday. With B.J. Goodson (ankle), Devon Kennard (quad) and Keenan robinson (quad) all perhaps unavailable, Sheppard could immediately be thrown into the fray.
“I’m not here to watch, I don’t think,” he said on Thursday.
Sheppard played all 16 games for the Giants last season, starting 11. He wasn’t brought back, had a preseason cup of coffee with the Chicago Bears, was cut, and until the Giants called this week had been unable to find a job.
