Honestly, McAdoo remains an easy target, since he’s recently propelled himself back into the news with quoted material regarding the New York Giants. Not coincidentally, his observations have not been enlightening at all. There were gratuitous remarks about failing Odell Beckham. He also marvelled at his ability in making the ‘tough’ decision to bench quarterback Eli Manning.
None of his insight demonstrates that he learned anything in his failure as New York Giants head coach. On the other hand, his successor, Pat Shurmur, clearly appears at ease with his new status, and this appears evident in his daily interaction with the media.
