Heading into the second year of general manager Dave Gettleman’s rebuild, there are positives developments from which the New York Giants can build. But to be fair, there were several missteps that slowed progress down last year.
Surely, no one who operates out of 1925 Giants Drive anticipated a 5-11 record, despite the deflection Gettleman provided at his year-end press conference. If you were to poll an average New York Giants fan, he or she likely would have been satisfied with 8-8.
Face it, there’s no debate about progress if the New York Giants achieved 8-8.
