Kayvon Thibodeaux is “week-to-week” following surgery for a fractured scaphoid bone in his wrist, according to New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll.
The real timeline is likely to be 4-6 weeks, according Dr. Kyle Flik, an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist who has served in the past as assistant team physician for the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls.
Thus, while the Giants have not done so yet, expect Thibodeaux to be placed on injured reserve.
Even when he returns to action, Flik said Thibodeaux will have to wear some type of protection on the wrist.
