Social media is trash.
It’s become a game, a competition, about who can get more likes or retweets than one another, encompassing a fake and counterfeit version of who someone is.
And it unfortunately has the strength of carrying a heavy weight on the social status of each individual – when it shouldn’t.
But I’m not the only one who feels this way. New York Giants linebacker Jonathan Casillas is in agreement about the misconceptions that social media can cause.
After being “randomly” drug tested by the NFL for posting a picture of himself smoking a cigar, Casillas took to Instagram to point out the flaws of social media:
“For those that think I’m foolish enough to post a blunt on social media clearly do not know what type of person I am or the caliber of role model I exemplify.
