Let’s face it no general manager attains a 100 percent track record. Former New York Giants GM Jerry Reese found that out the hard way. The key to survival remains to have more good decisions to outweigh the bad ones. Truth be told, Reese made several very good draft selections in his tenure. Unfortunately, his bad decisions became more predominant and common.
And with regard to personnel decisions, whatever format it takes, that genie can never be stuffed back into the bottle.
In other words, once a player gets selected in the draft, there’s no going back.
