New York Giants: Jay Bromley Is a 'Favorite To Start' at Defensive Tackle (Report)

Related Topics: Jay Bromley, Damon Harrison

According to ESPN's Jordan Raanan, New York Giants defensive tackle Jay Bromley is a "favorite to start" to start alongside Damon Harrison on the team's defensive line this season.

An earlier report back in May suggested that Robert Thomas, someone the Giants had added to the roster prior to the start of last season, was the frontrunner to get first-team reps this season.

But it seems like Bromley has shown enough this summer to change that narrative (4 combined tackles this preseason, one for a loss of yards).

The former third round pick is entering the final year of his rookie deal, and given the fact that he has just 55 tackles and one sack in three NFL seasons, this could be his final chance to prove he's worthy of an NFL roster spot.
