Usually teams that are Super Bowl contenders don’t want to mess around with the kicking game. Plus the New York Giants circled this same tree last season. After pledging their allegiance to Josh Brown, the team had to backtrack on the fly.
It seems that the New York Giants did not do enough due diligence on Brown. Or they could have ignored the warning signs. In either case, Big Blue settled upon veteran Robbie Gould, who bailed them out of a sticky situation.
But Gould left for a bigger paycheck with the San Francisco 49ers.
