According to Peter King of Sports Illustrated, the New York Giants have shown interest in free agent running back Adrian Peterson.
Peterson, who had his option declined by the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday, played just three games with last season because of a torn meniscus.
The season prior, he had a typical Peterson-like season, rushing for over 1,400 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Obviously, the Giants are in the market for a running back, someone who could at least split carries with Paul Perkins.

Jeff Darlington of NFL Network reported that Minnesota could still offer Peterson a salary north of $6 million which is something ESPN’s Jordan Raanan said is “not an option” for the Giants at that price point.
