The more things change, the more things stay the same. Again the New York Giants’ offense failed to show up in a 20-13 loss to the Washington Redskins. The loss drops the Giants to 1-7 while the win brings the NFC East-leading Redskins to 5-2.
In the first game after a few trades and roster moves, the Giants defense played relatively well. There were some stumbles, but the unit limited the Washington offense and kept the score close until late in the game.
Meanwhile the offense was again anemic as Eli Manning was sacked seven times in addition to two interceptions.
